On December 14, 2022 I sent two identical boxes of Christmas gifts. One to Mequon, Wisconsin and the other to Denver, Colorado. To arruse ( I thought) there arrival on time I sent the priority 2-3 day mail. With insurance this cost me $235.68.. It was worth the money for them to arrive on time. The one to Wisconsin arrived within 2 days, however, the one to Denver arrived YESTERDAY, January 10, 2023. When I stopped in the Warsaw post office this morning to explain the situationn, not expecting anything but to simply explain the situation. Since the poast master was not there I spoke to a supervisor. I left upset. All he gave me were excuses and comments like "there ae no guarantees" "Well, at least, one arrived on time" "Bigger packages are handled by hand while smaller packages are handles by machine, which is quicker" This comment to explain why one arrived on time and the other almost a month late (The package were the same size). Obviously, I was not satisfied. I will have to call my nephew and try to explain to his 2 little girls why their Christmas gifts are so late. There also were a couple time sensitive items. I have had other issues like sending checks the day they arrive and still getting charged late fees because my check did not arrive on time (The supervisor asked me if I called the companies about getting a refund. Not the point), getting bills after the due date. I also sent some paperwork to an insurance company that they never received. Also I like to pay by check through the mail I have switched most of my bills to auto pay so that I won't be charged late fees when the check doesn't arrive on time. I n the future I will not ber sending packages through the postal service and am hesitant every time I put an envelope in a mailbox. I would be happy to talk to or email someone about my concerns. I have a whole list of similar concerns going back year. Thank you, Lance Bush 585 734-7687. You have my email.
