Recently we had a change in mail carriers due to retirement. Our loss as she was a gem. We had a couple of carriers who were fine until you hired a permanent carrier. The carrier we have now is not very good. All our previous carriers would bring our packages up to my residence which is at the end of a 600' driveway. This was helpful as I run a business out of my home. Our current carrier leaves the packages at the end of our driveway by the mailbox. Today i Walked to the end of the driveway to find 4 boxed packages by the mailbox soaked with water as the packages were dropped off in the rain with no coverings whatsoever. I don't know if this person is new (which I am hoping) or just lazy. My driveway goes up through the woods and is always kept clear and has a turn around. My home has a Covered porch when weather is poor. I of course am fine for regular mail that fits in the mailbox to be placed there however, packages I would expect to be brought to the house as all my carriers in the past have done.
