The clerks at this office will sell you stamps, mail your packages, etc., but will not do a thing to help you with any kind of delivery issue or problem. They completely separate themselves from the Scarborough distribution center which actually delivers the mail. Customers are given a number to call at the distribution center, but the voice mailbox is always full and no one ever answers the phone there, so it’s useless. I recently had a delivery issue with a priority package mailed from Port Orange, FL. The Scarborough post office said they could do nothing to help me as they are completely separate from the distribution center. I ended up calling the Port Orange post office to get help. They were shocked at what I was experiencing and they took the time to find a reachable # for the Scarborough distribution center and they quickly reported and took care of my problem. There should not be this kind of disconnect between the Scarborough post office and the Scarborough distribution center. Because of it, there is absolutely no way for residents or businesses to communicate delivery problems, special instructions, etc. Its very frustrating!
