My mailbox may need to be replaced, but that is NO EXCUSE to open the mailbox door and place my mail on the edge of the mailbox, sticking out of the opening by a couple inches IN THE POURING RAIN and not even try to close the door back up. My mail was all wet and an important mail I received was wet down to the last page in the envelope. This is the second time the door was left open hanging by the last screw, but this time was in the rain!!! They could have placed the mail further into the mailbox, but they didn't. The door could have been closed, but there is only one screw holding the door onto the mailbox, the other one is missing, but it is still possible to close the door the best that can be done. And there is no phone connection I can find to a live operator I could have reported this to, so I'm posting it here hoping it will find the proper channels to the office that handles this kind of stuff.
