problems lately getting mail in a timely fashion...credit card bills (I don't like to owe interest), medical appointments, picking up mail from my box, but the worse is how many pieces of mail that do not belong to me! Do I sort that, deliver them, or legally return to the post office?

I live at 59 Diesel Shop Road in Hermon Maine. The last two days I have had a letter to go out with the flag up and the letter has not been taken despite the mail carrier delivering mail. Today I saw the woman take my letter out of the mail box, look at it and put it back. Then she put my mail in. This was a birthday card for my mother which will now most likely be late because the letter has not been picked up for two days, and has to wait till Monday. Why?

This is a complaint about the delivery service for 295 Smith Rd. in Hermon Maine. In the recent couple of weeks on two separate occasions, the mail was delivered however, a packagethat did not fit in the mailbox was attached to the flag with rubber bands. On both occasions that was raining or at least rained before the mail got picked up and the boxes, mailers were soaked clean through and very damaged. On these two occasions, the inside contents were not damaged, however, if this method of delivery continues, I’m sure sometime in the near future there will be some package damage by this unacceptable form of mail delivery. Most of the time the postman will bring packages and mail up to the door if they won’t fit. If the postman does not wish to walk the packages up to the door then how about covering the boxes with some form of plastic covering or plastic bags so they do not get damaged. Thank you. I would appreciate some type of response from you.
