I have had someone from the gilmer post office leave several packages on the ground near the road instead of on my property or in the mail box. There is plenty of room to drop it off on the porch, in the garage etc. One time it was left in the rain by the mailbox on the ground and it was a battery and listed it on the package. This is inappropriate and hope this stops happening. We dont have any outside dogs or any obstical keeping the driver from driving up the driveway when packages won't fit in the mailbox.
