On July 14, 2026, I mailed two separate checks, each by certified mail, to pay for Long Term Care for my wife and myself. I utilized the Powdersville branch to accomplish this task. I paid $11.54 in total to have these two letters mailed to the same location at: AARP Health, P. O. Box 371483, Pittsburgh, PA 15250-7483. These payments were due to be paid by July 27, 2026 and I was assured each separately mailed envelope (check) would arrive by that time without any problems. One week later, I tracked both letters and they were still not delivered. I went to the Easley Post Office and spoke with a female manager who assured me she would investigate and get the problem resolved after I showed her the tracking information on my iPhone UPSP app where the mail was still in Charlotte, NC. I asked if she would call me to inform me of the progress. She said “we don’t do that”. Okay??? So, I’ve been tracking my two letters daily since that time and just last Friday, July 24, 2026, one check had arrived to AARP Health and cleared my bank. However, the second certified letter is apparently still sitting in Charlotte, NC according to the tracking information. Today, July 29, 2026, I contacted the Easley Post Office once again and provided the tracking number for the letter in question when I spoke with a female manager (after requesting to speak with the Post Master). She confirmed the letter is still in Charlotte, NC. This letter was past due payment with my Long Term Care provider on July 27, 2026. I informed her I had stopped payment with my bank and made a late payment electronically for my coverage. I informed her I would like to have a refund for my certified mail that was never delivered. She said they don’t do that. So, I informed her I would be writing the Post Master General to make an official complaint. She welcomed me to do just that. She said the Post Master was in a meeting and would be advised to contact me after the meeting; she was given my cell number.
