If the post office is going to be closed on a day when it is scheduled to be open, out of respect for the community it services, please post a notice on day so that people will know. I'm 75 years old and live on Winner Avenue. On Saturday, August 30, 2025, I walked three blocks to catch the 7 Mt. Vernon Avenue bus to drop off a pre paid package (I caught the bus at 12:37pm), only to find the post office closed. I had to walk the additional three blocks in order to catch the 11 Long Street bus, which only runs every hour, which I missed, so I had to walk back home, carrying that same package. While I'm in pretty good shape and was able to handle the 8 blocks home, it was not in my plans for the day. I'm rating this location 3 stars because I normally don't have any problems with this location. Thank God the weather was beautiful on Saturday!
