I received a book in the mail today that was bent and shoved into our mailbox. The hardcover children's book is visibly bent and creased. This is the second time this has happened in the last 2 months. The mail carrier had to forcefully bend it to fit it into the box. Why would someone do that? It is destructive and has ruined the book. When it happened a few months ago, I was unable to come in to report, and then a second book I had ordered was brought up to the front porch. I thought that perhaps the carrier had made a correction in their handling of hardback materials and done the respectful and polite thing and brought it up to the door. Now I have received a second book bent nearly in two. This is completely unacceptable! Please share this with your carriers, as clearly they are not aware of the appropriate way to handle packages.
