As a visitor of from Michigan,
I have to share the horrific service I received from Amy at the Gulf Gate Post Office in Sarasota.
I stopped there around 430 pm and didn't leave until 5 pm because of the horrible service with Amy.
I came in to mail a product back to vendor.
The passive aggressive manner of Amy was not necessary.
I was told by postal service at Davison Drugstore to go to main post office because the product needed an export form.
I thought the postal service would explain to me as a customer how to fill out this form and mail something to another country.
Contrary to being kind to me... Amy was complete opposite of showing kindness or patience.
Amy kept sending me out of line to fill out the export form, the envelope. anytime i asked a question she was rude to me.
I've never mailed a product back to another country (Greece).
by the time I think I filled everything and got back in her line it took many attempts.
Amy saw me put the item inside the envelope and she sealed it.
Now probably 20 minutes later she decided to ask or look at what the item was to be mailed.
Amy ask, "does this have batteries"?
Why didn't she start with this question on what the items was to be mailed?
And save me the time, horrible treatment by her.
I replied I don't know it has a USB port that I used to charge the pet nail grinder
I never got to use it because it was the noise my pups did not like.
I was on verge of tears when she said you can't ship with batteries it will be returned to me.
I couldn't figure out how to take any batteries out of the product.
I looked at her and said I'm in Florida for 2 months and bought this product to help me with my 2 pups nails.
I did not ask to be scammed by the SoftPetPaws.
And I did not ask for this unbelievable trouble with the USPS.
I was over it.
But wait she than said because I wrote on the envelope, I had to pay for it.
$2.09
I give Amy $5 and said this is unbelievable.
She gives me my change and asks if I wanted to mark this envelope paid. .... by this time, I've been there 30 minutes and had no more patience.
Unbelievable okay ... she stamps the back of the envelope.
Does not give me a receipt.
No receipt for this charge so that I could fill out a survey for this horrible service.
Another customer saw how she was treating me and even said out oud how would she know how to fill out a form.
So I'm thinking Amy has been horrible to other customers.
I would investigate your processes and be kind to customers.
You don't know the troubles everyone is dealing with on a daily basis.... show kindness going a long way.
I will also escalate this feedback to the entire United States Postal Service.
