I am reporting opened mail that seems to have been purposefully searched for money or items of value. Two items came yesterday (2-24-23), completely opened though they had been sealed previously with sticky gum, generally hard to open. They were not torn. One was a large yellow envelope {about 8-1/2 x 11") that has been coming, an ad from the Republican Party marked PERSONAL, and has occasionally had a dollar bill inside. The other was a larger (8x5") white envelope containing a metal medallion of MLK the size of a silver dollar. Last year I reported that an outgoing letter of mine containing a personal check had been "found on the ground" at the post office near the outdoor mailbox. I reported this and had a prompt response from you (Thanks very much!). I did not respond to the caller and closed the checking account immediately. Much later I learned that this has been happening frequently.
