We recently traveled to Florida for the winter - not the first time, but the first time we experienced postal problems. On or about December 20 I filled out two forwarding cards for my family and for my business to take effect December 26, 2024. On January 10, 2025, I received a notice from the postal service that my attempt to forward mail for my business could not be accomplished because it lacked proper identification (I presented proper identification when I filled out the cards). Today (January 13, 2025) I visited our local post office here in Sebring, Fl to try to discover what went wrong with the business forward, and to inquire why I had not received a single piece of forwarded mail from Gaylord in the three weeks since I had been in Florida. He looked up my information on his computer and corrected the business forward info, but said he had no record of forwarding for my family. He suggested I call the Gaylord post office to enquire what was being done with my mail (I had my daughter in Gaylord check my mail box and she reported that there was no mail in the box). I called the post office number at least ten times (989-732-6800) and each time, after it ringed about 10-12 times cut off the call with the message "Memory is full - enter the remote access number." What a messed up system! How do I fix this?
