My daughter came to this location on yesterday to mail a package. There was an older African American postal worker who was so rude that my daughter came home so frustrated that it bothered me. After several attempts to call, I found this email submission form and pray it gets to the right point of contact. I questioned her as to what happened, and the first thing is that the employee completely ignored her after she'd kept saying, "Ma'am" repeatedly. Now, I'm a professional woman who understands the holiday stress, but what I will never understand is how a seasoned employee has survived the front counter customer service spot with such a horrible attitude. Then, to make matters worse, after she insults her by not answering her, she tells her, "Your gonna have to get out of my line, because you're slowing my line down." Then, as my daughter is explaining this, my husband who happens to come up on our conversation says, 'Yeah, she's really rude and that's why I will drive all the way down Hearne just to not deal with her.' Now, that's sad. That your customers will avoid the main postal service office because of the attitude of one worker. If by chance she still has this assignment because of the location of your postal office, and since it is in a black neighborhood then that says, "You believe black people need to be dealt with nasty in order to be serviced." Now, what I'm searching for is understanding and this is not only a formal complaint, I will definitely be making steps to take this issue farther if I do not receive the proper feedback for this situation. Now that's two people in my family, on two separate occasions, who have had to deal with the same woman, but have the same exact experience. So with that said, my question is, "How many more people have experienced this with her, and how many complaints will you get in order to change the narrative?" Thank you for responding in a timely manner about this complaint.
